We recently established a requirement that the same email address must be used in your Membership profile and the BN.com account to which your Membership is linked.
Similarly, Memberships that are linked to a bn.com account, yet have no email address in the Member profile, must be updated so that both accounts have the same email address. To this end, the following action will take place on or around February 22, 2023:
If your Membership Without an Email is Active
We will add the email address used for your BN.com account to your Membership profile. If you want your Membership to be associated with a different email address, then before February 22, 2023, you will need to change the email address used for your bn.com account, as the two accounts cannot be linked while using different email addresses. If you don’t want the email address added to your Membership, you can have the Membership unlinked from your account before February 22, 2023 by contacting Customer Service or visiting your local Barnes & Noble store. However, your Membership must be linked to an account to use the benefits on bn.com.
If your Membership Without an Email is Expired:
We will unlink the Membership from the BN.com account to which it is associated.
If you prefer to keep your expired account linked because you plan to renew in the future, you may request that the bn.com email address be added to your Member profile by contacting Customer Service before February 22, 2023.
