We are aware of a message on the NOOK GlowLight 4/4e where the screen may display “NOOK is Too Cold” or your device will be frozen on the home screen after powering off.
This will normally occur if the power button is held down for 8-10 seconds or longer when powering down instead of holding the power button for a few seconds and selecting the Power Off or Reboot option from the on-screen menu.
To resolve this, you will simply have to hold the power button for 5-10 seconds whenever this message is displayed to fully power off/on your NOOK. In some instances, this may require at least 1-2 attempts.
