eBooks are able to be purchased for friends and family. To send an eBook as a gift:
1. Sign in to your BN.com account and navigate to the webpage for the eBook of your choice. Select Buy As Gift.
2. When the pop-up appears, complete all the fields. You will also have the option to add a Gift Message and select a specific delivery date if this is a gift for a special occasion (holiday, birthday, anniversary, etc.).
3. Click Add to Cart and, after reviewing your order details, click Submit Order.
· You will receive an Order Confirmation email.
· You can view your eGift details in the Order Status section in your BN.com account. The gift recipient's email address is displayed and your Gift Message (if sent) is shown when you click View Gift Message.
4.The recipient receives an email titled You Have Received a Gift email with your name, gift message (if selected), and a link to redeem their eGift.

Purchase an eGift as a Guest
You do not need to have a bn.com account to purchase an eGift for someone (the recipient will need a bn.com account to access it).
To purchase an eGift without a bn.com account:
1. Add the eBook to your cart.
2. On the My Shopping Cart page, scroll down to the item and click Make it a Gift
3. On the pop up that appears, enter:
- The Delivery Date
- Recipient Email (which will need to be the email address they use to access digital content)
- Recipient Name
- From
- Gift Message
4. Click Apply. Once the Gift information is filled out, click Checkout and complete your purchase.
NOTE: If you do not enter the gift information before clicking Checkout, you will not be able to complete the purchase without a bn.com account.
Purchase at Your Local Store
You can buy eBooks as gifts from your local Barnes & Noble store. Just ask a Bookseller for help.
