The sales rank of an item on our website indicates the popularity of that item. For example, a book with a sales rank of 1 is the number one selling book at bn.com. A book with a sales rank of 10 is the 10th highest-selling book on our website.
Barnes & Noble.com ranks books daily based on the previous six months of sales data from our web site and our stores. More recent sales are weighted more heavily than older sales. Sales ranking will change as new books are added to the database. If there are no sales during a particular amount of time, a title may lose its ranking.
Music and Video sales ranks are based on 30 days of sales data.
