Barnes & Noble MasterCard Benefits
The Barnes & Noble MasterCard provides several excellent benefits. These include:
- Getting 5% back on all purchases at Barnes & Noble stores or online at bn.com. That's in addition to any other discount you may receive. Your automatic savings will be delivered as a credit on your statement.
- Earning Barnes & Noble Gift Cards when you use your card for all other purchases. You'll earn one reward point for every dollar charged outside of Barnes & Noble. Every time you reach 2,500 points, you automatically receive a $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card.
- Spend $7,500 in your MasterCard's annual term to earn a free year of Premium Membership
- Platinum MasterCard benefits such as zero fraud liability for unauthorized purchases
- No annual fee
Barnes & Noble MasterCard 5% Rebate
When you use your Barnes & Noble MasterCard to make any purchase (other than Barnes & Noble Gift Cards purchased through the Barnes & Noble Gift Card Corporate Sales program) online at bn.com or in any Barnes & Noble store nationwide, a credit in the value of 5% of such purchases will be posted to your Barnes & Noble MasterCard account. The 5% credit will appear on the same billing statement as the charge for the related eligible purchase.
The 5% rebate you receive when you use your Barnes & Noble MasterCard is applied after any other discounts that you may receive, including BN Member discounts.
Barnes & Noble Master Card $25.00 Gift Card Program
You can earn a $25.00 Barnes & Noble Gift Card after their first Barnes & Noble MasterCard qualifying purchase, as a way of saying 'thank you' for being a card member.
Any Barnes & Noble Gift Cards that you earn using your Barnes & Noble MasterCard are also sent to you automatically. You are not required to contact Customer Service to request a Gift Card, unless you do not receive a Gift Card that you are due to receive.
The $25 Introductory Bonus Gift Card will be mailed to you at the billing address associated with your Barnes & Noble MasterCard four weeks after your first purchase. If the Gift Card is not received within four weeks of the first qualifying purchase, contact Barclay's Customer Service at 866-896-5547.
The first credit card purchase must not be invalidated for any reason. You may make your first Barnes & Noble MasterCard purchase anywhere MasterCard is accepted (including Barnes & Noble) to receive your free Barnes & Noble Gift Card.
B&N MasterCard Free Premium Membership Offer
As a Barclay's Barnes & Noble Mastercard holder, you earn a free year of Premium Membership after spending $7,500 a year on eligible purchases with your B&N Mastercard.
Once you reach the threshold to receive the free year of Premium Membership, your current Membership status will affect how you receive it.
For currently active $25 (Legacy) Members
The free year of Premium Membership will be added to your Membership and will begin at the end of your current Membership term.
For currently active Premium Members
Your Premium Membership’s expiration date will be extended by 12 months.
For Non-Members and Rewards Members
Your free year of Premium Membership begins immediately.
We will send you an email notification once you have earned your Premium Membership benefit. If you do not receive this notification within 2-3 weeks after qualifying, please contact Member Services at membership@bn.com.
