You can send almost any item available on bn.com as a gift.
When sending a gift, the option to add a Gift Message and/or Gift Wrapping to the gift is available to you by clicking “Make it a gift” under the item during Checkout.
Gift Message
When you click “Make it a gift”, a pop up appears with gift options. Click the “Make it a gift” check box to include a gift receipt. A second checkbox will appear to include a free gift message of up to 200 characters.
Click Save to add your gift message.
Gift messages cannot be added for magazine subscriptions that are sent as a gift.
Gift Wrapping
On the “Make it a gift” pop up, click the Add gift wrap - $3.99 checkbox to add gift wrapping to an item.
Some DVDs, CDs and Print On Demand Books may require extra processing time if gift-wrap is selected.
Click Apply to add your Gift Wrap and/or Message request, and complete the purchase of your order.
NOTE: The following items cannot be gift wrapped:
- Gift Cards and Gift Certificates
- eBooks and other NOOK digital content
- Barnes & Noble Memberships
- Magazine subscriptions
- SparkNotes
- Quamut Charts
- B&N Audiobooks or Audiobook MP3s
- Other PDF Files
