To add a Barnes & Noble Gift Card to your online order during Checkout:
1. Add items to your Shopping Bag and proceed to Checkout.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Checkout page and click the + next to Apply B&N Gift Card
3. Type your Gift Card Number and PIN in the appropriate fields, then click "Apply". Repeat these steps for each Gift Card you want to use on the order.
4. Click "Submit Order" to complete your order.
Adding Gift Cards to Your BN.com Account
If you are experiencing difficulty or an error when applying a Gift Card and PIN during Checkout, you can always save it to your account. Click here for more details.
Additional Information
You will only be able to save 6 Gift Cards on your account at one time. If you wish to add more than 6 Gift Cards to your account, you will need to wait until one of the Gift Cards has been depleted before adding another one to your account.
If the balance available on your Gift Card or eGift Card is less than the total cost of your order, you will be asked to provide an additional Gift Card or eGift Card, credit or debit card, or payment via PayPal.
During Checkout, the Order Total will still reflect the entire amount for the order, not just the amount applied to your Credit Card after a Gift Card is applied. The applied balance of your Gift Cards will show in the Membership, Gift Cards, and Coupons section of the Checkout page.
Your Order Confirmation email does not provide a breakdown of payment methods and amounts, but you can verify the amount billed to your Credit Card (if applicable) by checking your online statement.
Gift Cards that have been saved to your account are automatically applied to your next BN.com purchase, until they are depleted. If you choose to not apply a saved Gift Card to your order, you can also remove it as a payment method during Checkout.
