To add a Barnes & Noble Gift Card to your online order during Checkout:
1. Add items to your Cart and proceed to Checkout.
2. On the left side of the Checkout page, scroll down to the Payment section. Below the Credit Card section, click the checkbox for Apply a Gift Card
- NOTE: With the recent site updates, your saved Gift Cards will not appear in Checkout until you click the checkbox for Apply a Gift Card. Gift Cards will no longer be automatically applied to orders on bn.com.
3. Type your Gift Card Number and PIN in the appropriate fields, then click "Apply". Repeat these steps for each Gift Card you want to use on the order.
4. Click "Pay Now" to complete your order.

Additional Information
You can apply up to 5 Gift Cards on a single order.
If the balance available on your Gift Card or eGift Card is less than the total cost of your order, you will be asked to provide an additional Gift Card or eGift Card, credit or debit card, or payment via PayPal.
If the balance on the Gift Card covers the cost of the order, no other payment method is required, even for digital orders.
During Checkout, the Order Total will still reflect the entire amount for the order, not just the amount applied to your Credit Card after a Gift Card is applied. The applied balance of your Gift Cards will show in the Apply a gift card section of the Checkout page.
Your Order Confirmation email does not provide a breakdown of payment methods and amounts, but the amount charged to your credit card will be less than the total of the order, as shown below. Additionally, we will send a Billing Summary email once the order ships that provides a breakdown of the amounts charged to all applied payment methods.
You can also verify the amount billed to your Credit Card (if applicable) by checking your online statement.
Gift Cards that have been saved to your account can be easily applied during Checkout by clicking Add a Gift Card and selecting up to 5 saved gift cards to apply to your order.
