We have updated the platform used to host the Barnes & Noble website. With this change, you will no longer use a traditional password to sign in to your account. Instead, you will go to the sign in page as normal, enter your email address, and we will send you a One Time Use code via email. Each time you sign in, you will receive a new, unique code.
This measure increases the security for your account and means you no longer need to remember the password! It may take a few minutes to receive the email. Please check your junk/spam folders if you haven't received it after a few minutes.
Unique passcode emails are sent from noreply@barnesandnoble.com. Add this email address to your Contacts list to ensure that it is not redirected by any spam/junk filters.
If you no longer have access to the email address on the account, you will need to create a new bn.com account by signing in with a different email address to which you have access.

NOOK Account Passwords
Your traditional account password will continue to be used on any NOOK Devices you are using.
To reset your NOOK Account password from bn.com, sign in to your bn.com account and go to your My Account, then go to the My NOOK Account section. On that page, click on NOOK Account Settings, which will bring up options to edit the Password and Security Question for your NOOK Account.
When a password is changed here, it automatically updates on your NOOK device.
