The shipping time of 3-6 business days is the time in transit once your package has left our warehouse. Business Days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the Post Office and UPS. Delivery times are not guaranteed.
There is no minimum purchase amount required, but there are a few exclusions listed below that do apply.
How do I receive Member Free Shipping?
1. Have an active Premium or B&N Legacy Membership.
2. Sign in to the bn.com account associated with your Membership
3. Place at least one eligible item in your bag.
4. Proceed to Checkout when you're ready to complete your purchase.
5. During Checkout, confirm that the "FREE Member Shipping" option is selected under Shipping Method.
6. The shipping charges for the order display $0.00. Enter any remaining shipping or billing details, then submit your order.
To receive your Free Shipping benefit when shopping on bn.com, you must sign in to your bn.com account with the same email address that is on your Membership account.
*Membership cannot currently be used on papersource.com. We are working on making this possible and expect this functionality to be available in the future.
What exclusions apply?
Free Shipping applies to orders made at bn.com and on Ship-to-Home orders placed at Barnes & Noble retail stores.
The following items are not eligible for Free Shipping: Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, Magazines, Digital Products such as eBooks, Digital Newsstand, other PDF files, Digital Audiobooks, Barnes & Noble Membership and unusually sized or overweight items, or any items not identified as eligible for Free Shipping.
Purchases made prior to enrolling in the Member Program, or without being logged into the bn.com account with the same email address as the Membership will not be credited for a retroactive refund. Membership benefits cannot be used in conjunction with any coupons, unless specifically stated, or with any corporate or prearranged group discounts such as the following: employee discounts or corporate or institutional discounts.
If I am a Rewards Member, do I receive Free Shipping?
Rewards Members receive free shipping within the U.S. for eligible items totaling $60 or more.
The $60 minimum purchase for Rewards Members is calculated after all other discounts (including organizational discounts, and/or coupons) except Membership Rewards are applied. Charges relating to shipping, handling, gift-wrapping, Magazines, Used & Out of Print books from Marketplace, downloading Digital Products such as eBooks, Digital Newsstand, other PDF files, and Digital Audiobooks, and taxes will not be included to meet the $60 minimum.

Help with Member Free Shipping
Some potential reasons why you may not have received your Free Member Shipping benefit on your bn.com order if you have an active Membership are:
- You are not logged into the bn.com account with an email address that matches the Membership account.
- Your Premium Membership expired, and your Membership converted to BN Rewards. Visit the Membership page and click Join Premium to renew online. Your Member benefits will be available as soon as you renew.
- Your order contains items that are ineligible for free shipping
