Membership Cards
Physical Membership cards will only be issued if you enroll in a Barnes & Noble, Paper Source, or Tattered Cover store. Barnes & Noble, Paper Source, and Tattered Cover each have their own unique design for Membership cards, but all Membership cards are accepted across all three stores.
Friends of Tattered Cover (FoTC) Conversion to Premium Membership
Former Members of Friends of Tattered Cover whose FoTC Membership expired on or after July 1, 2024, will be offered a free year of Premium Membership when you enroll in Premium Membership using the same email address as the one that was associated with your FoTC Membership.
If you were a FoTC Member and you have an existing Barnes & Noble or Paper Source Membership with an email address that matches the FoTC Membership, one free year of Premium Membership will be added to your current account. Current $25 Memberships and Rewards Memberships will be upgraded to the Premium level.
An email announcing the launch of Premium Membership at Tattered Cover will be sent when the free year is available to you. In that Announcement email, there will be a link that will direct you to a landing page to accept and redeem your Membership offer. If you did not receive the email, you can redeem your offer by visiting a Tattered Cover store and activating your Membership at a register.
Note: unless you are already a Barnes & Noble Premium Member and are opted in to automatic renewal, your free year of Premium Membership will not automatically renew at the end of the term. You can opt in to automatic renewal at any time by signing in to the bn.com account associated with your Premium Membership and updating your Membership.
As a Friends of Tattered Cover Member, you received a $15 reward for every $200 spent. If you had spent money towards an FoTC reward, but did not reach the $200 threshold by July 31, 2024, we will convert that amount into stamps that will be added to the stamps balance of your Premium Membership.
Earned rewards that were issued as a voucher, but not redeemed at Tattered Cover, will be added to the Rewards balance of your Premium Membership.
The number of stamps and rewards you will receive will be displayed in the Announcement email.
