To perform a Hard Reset on the NOOK GlowLight 4 Plus and NOOK GlowLight Plus 7.8, ensure the device has at least 20% battery and follow the below instructions: 

1. Press Power key for 12 seconds, the device will shut down.
   • Your display will continue showing whatever was last on the display at the time you initiated holding the power key. If the Glowlight function was on, you will notice that it is no longer on when the device shuts down.
2. Press Power key and Low left page key at the same time
3. Release Power key after 4 second and continue hold left low page key
4. You should see screen blink after 12 seconds after which you immediately release the key. You should see a screen that displays information about performing a factory reset.
5. Press Home Key to continue.
6. Press Home Key to continue one more time.
7. The device will perform Factory reset and boot it to OOBE screen.

To perform a Hard Reset on the NOOK GlowLight 4 and 4e, follow the below instructions: 

1. Power Off the device
2. Press Power Key and Home Key simultaneously, then release the Power Key after 3 seconds. Continue holding the Home Key.
3. Release the Home Key when you see screen blink and the Factory Reset page appears.
