With both Premium and Rewards Membership, you earn stamps for every purchase of eligible items in $10 increments within a single transaction, in Barnes & Noble and Paper Source stores, online at bn.com, and on NOOK Devices/the Barnes & Noble NOOK App.
The timing for receiving your stamps depends on whether you make your purchase on the Shop/Bookstore of your NOOK Device, through the cart on bn.com, or from a store purchase.
Receiving Stamps from Store Purchases
Stamps earned in purchases made in a Barnes & Noble or Paper Source store with a Premium or Rewards Membership will appear in your account in 24-48 hours.
Receiving Stamps from BN.com Purchases
Stamps are issued for online orders after each eligible increment of $10 has shipped. BN.com purchases include purchases made using Buy Online, Pick Up in Store. For these orders, “shipped” would refer to when the items are picked up from the store.
*Membership cannot currently be used on papersource.com.
For example, in a $40 order:
- One stamp is issued when the $10 item ships (Shipped Total: $10)
- No stamp is issued when the $9 item ships (Shipped Total: $19)
- Two stamps are issued when the $11 item ships (Shipped Total: $30)
- One stamp is issued when the final $10 item ships (Shipped Total: $40)
Receiving Stamps from Purchases Made on a NOOK Device
Digital item orders are aggregated over a 24 hour period from 3:00AM-2:59AM Eastern Time to determine how many stamps should be issued.
For example:
At 11:00AM, you purchase an eBook for $5. Then, at 7:30PM the same day, you purchase a digital Audiobook for $15 using the same bn.com account. Those purchase totals will be grouped together and calculated at $20, which issues 2 stamps in the following 24-48 hours.
As with physical items, stamps are not issued until the items are “shipped”, which for digital content means it is delivered to your NOOK library. If you pre-order an eBook or digital Audiobook, any stamps to which you are entitled will be issued once the item is available for download.
Pre-Orders
Since stamps are issued once a $10 increment is shipped, stamps for pre-orders purchased on bn.com will not be issued until physical items are shipped from our facilities, and until digital items are made available for download. However, as long as the items qualify for stamps, and the order meets the $10 threshold for earning, stamps will be issued for the order.
Digital content only: If you pre-order a digital item in store at a register, any stamps you are due will be issued immediately, even though the content is not delivered until its publication date.
